Of all the places, I started learning and got my license for scuba diving in Pakistan in 2010. For our sea dives, we go to Mubarak Village, west of Karachi. The village is a fishermen’s village where they have many boats with delicate decorations, such as this one. I love people who pay attention to their working environment !
Nagarparkal at the Pakistan-India border, is in the middle of the Thar desert. When I went there in April 2010, I was surprised to see so many temples of the Jain Sect. They show the multi-ethnic, multi-religious structure of the Sindh Province. Hopefully, they will be renovated and open for tourists soon.
The Governor’s House in Karachi was the Viceroy’s Palace in the colony days as well as the first Presidential Palace of Pakistan. I love the huge, lush green garden around the main building.
If you ever go to Karachi, Pakistan, I recommend you to go and visit Café Koel in Clifton Area. It is a very nice café and art gallery. The photo shows the very very old wooden door which they wisely use to create an attractive setting. (Karachi 2010)
Frere Hall is a 100+ year old building, which once served as the Karachi City Hall. The Hall, a cultural heritage monument as well as a library now, was also the venue of my first personal exhibition in March 2010.
I took this picture in my first month after arriving in Karachi, Pakistan in 2008. It was a beautiful sunset and I thought the crows and the cranes at the far background made a good combination along with the iron fences.
There is a small fishermen’s village close to Karachi, Pakistan. When I went there in April 2010, to shoot some pictures on the beach, I suddenly noticed tiny creatures running around my feet. Looking carefully, I saw these small crabs not bigger than 2-3 centimeters (one inch). They were almost transparent and it was not possible to skip them from my portfolio and here it is : The crab!
A glacier lake is one of the most relaxing scenes you can ask for. Not a wave moves, a perfectly still reflection that challenges your idea of orientation. That is what I found on the Norwegian mountains.
As I wrote in Fjord 1, the nature in Norway is breathtaking. This was another scene from the beautiful fjords that I enjoyed with friends.
In Subcontinent, when it comes to fabric colours, there is no word as impossible. If it is black, in 1 hour, you can turn it to white. This picture was taken in front of a dyeing shop in Bangladesh. Here the yarn can be coloured in every shade, every tone of every colour.
